Phillip (Brown)
Coach
Director and Coach Phillip Brown brings extensive expertise to the RoadRunners Track & Field Team. With over 7 years of coaching and 45 years in track and field, his deep understanding of the sport is evident. As a former athlete in events like the 400 meters, high jump, and shot put, his diverse experience informs his coaching approach. Phillip's long-standing commitment to track and field makes him a vital asset in developing and guiding young athletes to success.

Marc (Champagnie)
Coach
Marc Champagnie is a dedicated track and field athlete specializing in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events. His talent has earned him offers from several Division 1 and 2 schools, including Cornell University. Beyond his own achievements, Marc is committed to coaching young athletes with a focus on technique, strength, discipline, mindset, and confidence. He believes that self-belief is key to success, both on and off the track, and his holistic approach positions him as a role model and mentor for aspiring athletes.

Tosin (Ajisegiri)
Coach
Is a data engineer with a passion for sports, bringing a unique, analytical approach to track and field coaching. With experience in track and field from high school and a love for football, his blend of technical expertise and athletic experience provides a fresh perspective, committed to helping athletes achieve their full potential.

Toni (Spooner)
Coach
As a coach specializing in sprints and long jump, Toni brings a wealth of experience from her career as a former track and field athlete who represented Canada in national and international competitions. Toni’s athletic journey, highlighted by competing in the 1976 Olympic Trials, focused on the 100M and long jump, where she has honed the skills and knowledge which she can now pass on to the next generation of athletes.

(Hugh) Spooner
Coach
As a coach specializing in sprints, Coach Spooner draws on an extensive experience as a 1976 Olympian who represented Canada in national and international competitions, excelling in the 100M, 200M, and 4x100M relay. Spooner’s athletic achievements include earning All-American honors at the University of Texas, Austin, where he was awarded a full athletic scholarship. Spooner is now able to pass on the skills and knowledge gained from his distinguished career to the athletes he coach’s today.

Student Coach Tomas

We are incredibly fortunate to have our student/in training Coach Tomas join us, who has experience with not just one, but two former Town of Milton Competitive Track and Field Teams! Tomas trained in Milton for over seven years, competing in various events. His fresh perspective and enthusiasm to help his former team grow and improve are truly admirable and greatly appreciated by everyone on the team.

- The RoadRunners Directors consist of 5 dedicated parents from past and current competitive Track and Field athletes. Their dedication and effort ensure that our local youth have a safe, supportive environment where they can learn proper techniques and develop a positive attitude towards both the sport and life in general.
